I remember it like it was yesterday.
As a kid, I’d wake up early on Saturday mornings, crack open my bedroom window, and listen for the familiar sounds from across the street, my grandmother turning up the heat on her stove to start the first meal of the day. I was blessed to have my grandparents right there, close enough that the rich aromas from their kitchen would sneak through the air and find me.

I’d hurry to get dressed and claim my seat at their kitchen table.
On a happily full stomach, I’d spend the afternoon watching my grandmother work her magic—stirring her hot, bubbling mixture filled with peanuts, transforming it into the sweet-and-salty treat she sold to her church family, local businesses, and neighbors. She owned a small restaurant and served homemade meals to the community, but her Peanut Brittle was always my favorite.

I proudly served as her official taste-tester, breaking off a warm piece to make sure the balance of candy and peanuts was just right.

For the last 15 years, I’ve carried on her tradition, making her Peanut Brittle every holiday season for friends, family, and coworkers to enjoy—and to remember.

Now, with my wife by my side, we’re sharing this legacy on a larger scale. Together, we are bringing my grandma’s heart, craft, and entrepreneurial spirit back to life through “Snacks That Take You Back.”
